About the Role
The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering mechanical building services designs across all RIBA project stages.
- Producing detailed calculations, specifications, reports and technical drawings.
- Coordinating with architects, contractors and other design disciplines.
- Attending client and project meetings.
- Supporting the delivery of low-carbon and energy-efficient building solutions.
- Carrying out site surveys and inspections to ensure design compliance.
- Using industry-standard software including Revit, AutoCAD, IES and Hevacomp.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience working within a UK building services consultancy environment.
- Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance and relevant British Standards.
- Experience using design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, IES and/or Hevacomp.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and project teams.
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status or professional membership of CIBSE/IMechE is desirable.
