Junior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing London team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with UK building services consultancy experience who is looking to develop technically, take ownership of projects, and work towards professional chartership.

The Role

You will support the delivery of mechanical building services projects across a range of sectors, working closely with senior engineers, clients, and multidisciplinary design teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and developing key client relationships

  • Supporting business development activities, identifying new opportunities and assisting with project tenders

  • Overseeing project delivery from feasibility through to construction stage

  • Ensuring projects are delivered profitably and in line with client briefs

  • Managing and coordinating projects across multiple sectors

  • Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders including Clients, Architects, Contractors, and Consultants

  • Overseeing technical mechanical design throughout the project lifecycle

  • Attending client, design, and progress meetings at various project stages

  • Undertaking site inspections and reporting back to the design team

  • Working collaboratively with partners across the wider business to meet company objectives

Experience & Qualifications

  • 1 + years’ experience within a UK Building Services Consultancy

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related industry qualification

  • Actively working towards or aspiring to Chartership through CIBSE or IMechE

  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services design

  • Good awareness of electrical systems, sustainability, and public health engineering

  • Knowledge of relevant British Standards, Regulations, and Codes of Practice

  • Experience managing client relationships and developing new ones

  • Up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental policies
