Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will:

Work on a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors

Contribute to all stages of project delivery

Collaborate closely with colleagues to achieve shared project goals

Produce technical drawings and specifications
-
Carry out design calculations using manual methods and software tools

Monitor your own design work to ensure quality, programme compliance, and budget alignment

Liaise with other design disciplines to understand client requirements and select appropriate plant, equipment, and solutions

Apply strong technical knowledge and coordinate services designs
-
Represent the company at project meetings

Understand and support low- and zero-carbon (LZC) strategies
-
Manage site inspections for compliance with design documentation

Engage in continuous professional development and keep up to date with new technologies and industry developments

Demonstrate awareness of other building services disciplines
-
Work proactively, both independently and as part of the wider team
Experience & Qualifications
-
Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, or HNC/HND equivalent
-
Minimum 1 year of building services design experience post-qualification
-
Software experience: Microsoft Office, Relux/DIALux, Amtech, Revit
-
Knowledge of British and European Standards, building regulations, etc.

Understanding of HTMs (desirable but not essential)

Professional membership (e.g., CIBSE, IET) or working towards it
-
Understanding of renewable technologies and their integration into designs

Working knowledge of BREEAM
-
Awareness of mechanical systems to support multidisciplinary discussions
