About the Role
Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer
Location: London
We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading building services consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across the built environment.

The Role
As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across all project stages, from initial concept through to completion. Working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to the development of high-quality, integrated engineering solutions for a range of complex and rewarding projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specification of electrical building services systems, including:
- Low voltage power distribution
- Lighting and emergency lighting systems
- Fire alarm and life safety systems
- Data, communications and security systems
- Produce technical calculations, reports and design specifications
- Develop designs throughout all project stages from feasibility through to construction
- Prepare and review technical drawings and BIM models using industry-standard software
- Attend client, design team and project meetings
- Undertake site inspections and monitor installation works
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and best practice
- Support the development of junior team members through collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to sustainable and low-carbon design initiatives
About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience working within a Building Services or MEP consultancy environment
- Strong understanding of electrical building services design principles
- Experience delivering projects across multiple RIBA stages
- Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam and relevant electrical design software
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status or keen to pursue professional accreditation
