Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is an established building services consultancy based in Newcastle upon Tyne and they are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their close-knit team. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical building services design on a range of projects

• Prepare detailed electrical designs, calculations, reports, and specifications

• Coordinate designs with mechanical engineers, architects, and other consultants

• Attend and contribute to design and client meetings

• Support, mentor, and guide junior engineers and technicians

• Work closely with Directors on project delivery and development

• Ensure compliance with current standards, regulations, and best practice

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical building services design

• Consultancy background preferred

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and UK regulations

• Ability to manage workload across varied project types

• Confident communicator with a collaborative approach

• Ambitious, proactive, and keen to progress into a senior leadership role
