2D CAD Technician

We are looking for a skilled 2D CAD Technician to support our Building Services (M&E) design team. The role focuses solely on the production and maintenance of accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings for mechanical, electrical, and public health services across a range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Produce and modify 2D AutoCAD drawings for building services systems, including: Mechanical (HVAC, ventilation, heating) Electrical (power, lighting, containment) Public Health (water and drainage) Prepare layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings in line with project requirements Ensure drawings comply with company CAD standards, building regulations, and industry best practice Coordinate drawings with architectural and structural layouts Update drawings throughout design and construction phases Maintain drawing registers and assist with document control Support engineers with drafting and design development tasks

Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a 2D CAD Technician in Building Services / M&E Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D only) Good understanding of building services systems and coordination Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks

Qualifications

Relevant qualification in CAD, Building Services, or Engineering (desirable but not essential)
