Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

The Company
You will be working in a South London location and be part of a national Building Services consultancy that has been established for over 30 years. Our client is part of a bigger multidisciplinary group which provides fantastic opportunities within the Commercial, Retail and Education business sectors.
Due to a growing demand this established role comes with enviable engineering opportunities. You will be working on a variety of projects including Data Centres, High Street chains, Education buildings and Commercial CAT A and CAT B environments. Their ongoing success has created this new Senior Mechanical Design engineer position.
The Role
A Mechanical design engineer Building Services consultant who is a good communicator with a creative, driven and hardworking Mechanical Building Services engineering attitude and with demonstrable knowledge of HVAC consulting engineering.
The successful Mechanical engineer (Building Services) will be very client focused and enjoy a close working relationship with clients and project teams. 
Split into two parts, you will manage existing Framework agreements, providing consultancy advise to performance specifications completed by “design and build” installers as well as manage the design of bespoke Mechanical Building services and HVAC solutions starting from initial conception to full design and delivery.

This Mechanical Building Services job will include: 
• Managing client and other professionals
• Working to Building Services guidelines and manage the production and delivery of safe, reliable and fit for purpose Mechanical Building Services engineering solutions 
• Use technical and commercial knowledge and experience to identify and resolve existing and new Building Services engineering issues 
• Ensure the scope of the project programme is appropriate and the technical requirements are deliverable and also are delivered in accordance with the brief and standard regulations and guides (CIBSE)
• Manage resources (Engineering, CAD & Administration)
• Identify and implement personal training and CPD requirements of engineers within the team.

Qualifications
• B.Sc/B.Eng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering
• Member of/or working towards Chartership
