Electrical Design Engineer

One of the best clients of mine in Surrey are looking to expand their SurreyTeam and have vacancies for both a Senior Engineer and an Electrical Engineer with at least three years’ experience.  These positions offer excellent career opportunities and will involve working on an interesting and varied portfolio of projects.

As part of our Surrey Team, you will produce low energy, creative design solutions to both scheme and detailed design level.  Day to day work will include carrying out site inspections and surveys, preparing specifications and project reports and attending meetings.  You will work across a variety of sectors including Education, Commercial, Healthcare, Leisure and Heritage.

Our Surrey office works on projects throughout Scotland and in London and South West England.  This position is in response to our expanding workload.  Current areas of expanding work are Healthcare and Speculative Laboratory Developments with project sizes typically ranging from minor works to £75m.  Our preference is to deliver a detailed design service to our broad Client base.  The Company has a strong workstream of diverse UK wide projects with institutional Clients, property estates, public bodies, local councils and universities.  Our emphasis is on providing a high quality design service and securing high levels of repeat business.

Applicants should be qualified in an appropriate discipline, e.g. Electrical or Building Services Engineering or similar, with a minimum of three years’ relevant experience in an Electrical Engineering role within a building services context (power, lighting, security, communications systems, etc.).  Experience of working with relevant design software e.g. Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and Revit and on BIM projects would be an advantage.
