About the Role
The Role
We are looking for an experienced M&E Services Consultant Engineer to join our growing team.
This is a varied role combining office-based consultancy and site work, supporting clients across their property portfolios with mechanical and electrical building services, maintenance, compliance, design and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide M&E engineering and operational support to clients.
- Carry out site inspections, condition surveys and technical audits.
- Advise on maintenance, compliance and contractor performance.
- Prepare reports, specifications and scopes of work.
- Support the design and delivery of building services projects.
- Assist with tendering and management of M&E maintenance contracts.
- Provide troubleshooting, technical and budgeting advice.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, specialists, manufacturers and suppliers.
- Attend site, client and contract meetings.
- Develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional work.
About You
We are looking for someone with a background in Building Services Engineering, ideally with experience in mechanical services.
You may have experience in:
- Building services design or consultancy.
- Facilities management or operational engineering.
- Maintenance contracts and contractor management.
- Surveys, specifications or project management.
- Mechanical and electrical building services.
- Working with clients, contractors and other industry professionals.
An HNC/HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering is desirable but not essential. Most importantly, you will have a practical approach, good communication skills and a willingness to develop your career within consultancy.
